Packaging-friendly courier for fragile boutique items in NYC — recommendations?

Running a boutique in Brooklyn and we do a decent amount of local deliveries for online orders. The problem is fragile items — candles, ceramics, glassware. We've had 3 carriers in the past year and all of them have had breakage issues. Does anyone have experience with couriers who actually handle fragile items carefully? Even better if they have experience with boutique/retail deliveries specifically.

We don't operate in NYC currently (mainly LA and West Coast) but I'd suggest looking for couriers that offer white-glove delivery as a service tier — it's not just about handling, it's about how items are staged in the vehicle. Ask any courier you're evaluating whether they use padded compartments or just stack in cargo.

Sandra from PrimePack — this might also be a packaging problem, not just a courier problem. We supply foam corner inserts, double-wall boxes, and custom void fill for exactly this use case. If you're using standard single-wall boxes for ceramics, even the best courier will break things. Happy to send samples.

Oh that's a really fair point actually. We're using pretty basic kraft boxes. I'd love to see samples of the double-wall options.
