Bulk tape and void fill — is PrimePack Supply actually cheaper than Amazon Business?

Genuinely asking. We buy a lot of brown tape, bubble wrap, and kraft paper for packing hardware orders. Amazon Business has been convenient but I've heard wholesale suppliers can be cheaper if you hit their minimums. For reference we spend about $600/month on packing supplies. Is that enough volume to get better pricing through a supplier like PrimePack?

Sandra from PrimePack. At $600/month, yes — you'd typically save 20-30% vs Amazon Business once you're on a regular reorder cadence with us. The catch is you order in case quantities (not single rolls) but for a hardware shop doing regular volume that shouldn't be a problem. Also: Amazon's tape is usually lower-grade (thinner mil) which means more tape used per box. Our standard is 2.0 mil vs Amazon's typical 1.8 mil. Sounds minor but adds up. Happy to send a sample pack.

I never thought about the tape quality angle. Send me the sample pack — address is on the website contact page.

We switched from Amazon Business to a local supply vendor for our restaurant packaging and saved about 18% annually. The convenience of Prime doesn't outweigh the cost once you're doing real volume.
